Eve Silver, a B.Mus graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts, began learning the cello at the age of 8. She is also an accomplished pianist having completed her L.Mus.A in 1998, and A.Mus.A on cello in the same year. In 2005, 2006, Eve studied cello at the Australian National Academy of Music under the direction of Rohan Dekorte and her past teachers include Nelson Cooke and Alfred Hornung.
In 2005, Eve performed solo at BMW Edge and recorded with ABC FM as part of the Melbourne Arts Festival. She has also performed in ABC FM’s Sunday Live concerts in Perth and plays regularly at Government House as part of Mark Coughlan’s concert series. In 2008, Eve performed the Beethoven Triple Concerto with the Fremantle Chamber Orchestra. In 2009, Eve took part in the Perth Festival performing with the Pacifica Quartet and also played in the festival again in 2010. She tours regularly with the Australian Chamber Orchestra and has participated in other programs as part of the ACO Emerging Artist Program.
Eve is currently a Tutti Cellist with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra.
