Silent Film Gains Live Soundtrack!!!

Unique live performance of silent movie soundtrack coming back to 'The Bodhi Tree' Book cafe. Screening Buster Keaton’s cinema classic, the greatest comedy ever made, "The General" (1926, silent movie black & white, 77 mins, rated G) with a live performance of Katherine Corecig's soundtrack by the VIOLA DANA band.

Viola Dana premiered their Buster Keaton's silent comedy classic 'The General' soundtrack at the 2009 Revelation Perth International Film Festival to acclaim, with the Revelation team commenting on their website: "One of the faves though would have to be the live performance by Viola Dana to Buster Keaton's The General. Standing ovation and all, their work was nothing short of brilliant...it brought the house down."

Viola Dana have been invited to perform their soundtrack for The General live to a screening of the film at the 2013 Toronto Silent Film Festival and also at the Mayfair Theatre in Ottawa in April 2013.
